After All The Success Of The First Album, RESTREPO Announces A New Album Release Later This Year
Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Restrepo.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Daniel Restrepo, better known in the industry as RESTREPO. I am originally from Medellín, Colombia, and from an early age I always knew my life belonged making music and being on a stage. It has been a beautiful journey to get to where I am today starting from studying classical guitar in the conservatory, to creating a successful band, to becoming a Music Executive in some of the top music companies in the world while working with some of the top artists such as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Lenny Kravitz, Carlos Santana, Julio Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Future among others. In the process I have always stayed true to my music and always keep going back to the intimacy of writing a song, a song with a purpose, not following any of the current trends of the market but always letting the music speak for itself and most importantly guided by God. In 2018 I decided to release my first album titled “Proposito” and the whole concept of the album was to make meaningful songs, that talked about the love of God and all his blessings. This album opened many doors for me in the Christian industry, and was able to make collaborations with Spanish artists such as Ricardo Rodriguez and Amaury Gutierrez. Now I am embarking on a new adventure to create a new album with really exciting collaborations.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
Music and art it’s all I do. It is not only my passion, but also what I am good at. Many artists have trusted me with the development of their music and their videos, but currently my most important project is my own development as an artist. All the years behind the scenes working with top talent on top level projects have allowed for me to gain the experience and knowledge to release new music with the highest standards of quality and always having the sensitivity and connection with the audience, realizing that every word will have an impact on the listeners of my music.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
To gain success in life, I believe you have to work hard, be prepared, and create your own opportunities and always know that at the end, the battle has been won. Do not wait for the perfect scenario for you to get started and always be open to help, to learn and to be willing to make sacrifices to achieve what you really want. Good actions will always come back to you with an even better reward. Focus yourself on being prepared for when the opportunity comes, and as they say you only have one opportunity to make a good first impression, use it wisely and impact people the right way from the very beginning.

What’s next for you?
After the success of my first album release, I am in the process of recording my second album. This time with some amazing collaborations of some of the top Latin Christian artists and will be doing a tour in Latin America in summer of 2022.
