Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Rohrbach- Health Insurance Solutions.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Hello! It’s an honor to be here today! I appreciate this interview.
A little about me…I am 32 years old, married to my best friend, also mother to 2 beautiful babies. I have always been a hard worker, and I now support my family financially. My husband is a stay at home dad. It works for us. He is wonderful! I can focus on my business full-time all while working from home. As a mom, that means the world. How did I end up where I am today? That’s a great question. I have always been in sales and wanted to make an impact of my client’s lives around me. Also take care of my family by doing something to better the lives of those clients I serve. After 2010 with the introduction of ACA, I saw so many of those people near and dear to me spending outrageous amounts of money just to have health insurance. After calling around and speaking to several private and casualty insurance agents, I realized, they all seem to have in common…they can’t help people with health insurance problems. I took a chance, got my license. I saw an opportunity right to focus on this one thing…help people find affordable health coverage. If I focus on one thing, throw all of my time and energy towards solving those problems for people…I’m bound to be the best. 5 years later… I am still here, solving problems, now, I am within the top5 of my co.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
I have faced challenges. Especially in the first year I started selling health insurance. Cold calls, rejection, building a brand from scratch. Also driving 500-1,000 miles/week to meet people face to face. A lot of blood, sweat & tears along with missed time with my family to put me where I am at today. But, I persisted regardless of my struggles. It helped tremendously to have an amazing mentor in my life, Jim Wright with Kemper Health. He was the first person I had ever worked for that truly, believed in me. He pushed me every single day and I called him about 10 times/day.
When covid-19 happened… everyone was in freak out mode. A lot of insurance agents dropped off…gave up. I thought to myself, “how, if I cannot meet people face to face, what am I going to do to reach the people that need help?” What are people doing now more than ever? Staying at home looking at their phones…Social media. Facebook. Instagram. I went crazy with it. Posting nonstop, paid Facebook to boost ads for me, posted on my stories every single day. I was relentless. And turns out, I was only one of few insurance agents that did this. Now, the company I work for pays me to consult and train other agents nationwide on how to get yourself out there via social media. I am proud to say I am in the top5 nationwide with Kemper Health.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I work for a 15 billion dollar debt free company, Kemper Health out of Chicago, IL. Our underwriting for health insurance is an old A rated company, Reserve National Ins Co. started in Oklahoma City in 1956. Kemper does all sorts of insurance and employs thousands of agents nationwide.
However, out of only 600 Kemper health agents, nationwide…I am within the TOP 5 in the company. For good reason. All my clients have my cell and can call or text me anytime they need help or have questions. My clients never have to call the 1-800# for anything. 80% of my business is word of mouth, referrals from friends, family, other private and casualty ins companies (Allstate, State Farm, AmFam etc,) … because they don’t mess with health insurance anymore. They do not have the options available like I do. My referrals also come from happy policy holders. Bottom line, I do whatever it takes to solve your health insurance problem. If I cannot save you 30-50% on your health insurance, I will not waste your time, or mine.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Persistence… massive amounts of action= massive results.
If you’re not facing challenges, you’re not growing. Find a guy with a “full tank of gas” and learn from him/her. Ask questions no matter how stupid you think they are. There is no such thing as a stupid question. You take care of your clients and the people you serve…they will take care of you and your business.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success to me is being able to do something meaningful in my life.
Success to me is taking care of my family. Having both time with them and financial security as well.
Success to me is truly being in a position to help those around me with a major burden in their lives.
I enjoy what I do and making a meaningful impact in my company and those around me.

What’s next… is the NUMBER 1 spot in Kemper Health! I am so very thankful Kemper Health, an A-rated Forbes 500 company is who I’m with. They take great care of me. I’m a lifer.
This will always be my life. Helping others. Solving problems. Saving people money so they can put it towards what they truly want to. Spending time with my family and friends. Traveling more!
