E-Commerce Entrepreneur Ivan Setta Is Inspiring The Masses With His Story To Success

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivan Setta.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

The honor is mine. My name is Ivan Setta, I’m a 23 year old multiple business owner based in Dubai. I’m Tanzanian from nationality but I grew up in a little country called Belgium. I guess that’s the place where everything started. I believe I have always been a very curious person and that really shows in the life decisions I made. Back in school when everyone went for soccer or basketball practice after school, I was the 12 year old guy trying to learn languages like HTML & CSS. Skills like Ethical Hacking, Building Websites, Photography and many more are completely self-taught. The time I was growing up these interests were very uncommon for a 12 year old kid, but I’m grateful I just did what I liked and felt right. At the age of 13 and a half – hahaha – you can say I started my first ‘business’. I bought a professional camera and started sending club owners, mcs, people who owned wedding halls, basically everyone with a bit of an online presence if I could come take videos and pictures of them or their event for free. Most of them said yes and that’s how I build my portfolio and got into ‘business. Fast forward to a couple years later when I got into e-commerce and made my first millions completely online. Now I teach others to achieve the same things in e-commerce as I through my education company; The Art Of E-commerce.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

When I started doing e-commerce it wasn’t a ‘famous’ thing as it is now. There were basically no youtube videos that explained how things were done, no courses that I knew of so I was trying to figure everything out on my own. Mentally that was very tough. I only had 3-4 examples that were successful in that space and for many people that would have been discouraging. Not for me. I like the uncommon, the things people are afraid of the ‘I wouldn’t pursue that’ things. Those are the things I live for. I already know how it felt to have eyes of disbelief on me or silent voices screaming weirdo to me when I was a 12 year old kid. So pursuing this was not hard for me mentally. I finally found a mentor after searching for a long time. Unfortunately after paying him and having 2 calls with a team member of him, he blocked me everywhere and I was never able to contact him again. Funny thing is, this guy was one of the biggest in the e-commerce space back then so I was really shocked that this was happening to me. I found another mentor and he helped me a lot with structuring my business and finding confidence in the decision I made. I remember him saying, ‘Most of your thoughts are correct the only thing you need to do now is execute those thoughts.” I felt really good hearing him say that.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I know a lot about everything, I’m a very curious person so if new things pop up I’ll probably study it long enough to understand what it’s about. But if I need to choose a specialisation it would definitely be E-commerce Dropshipping / Brand Building and the marketing that comes with it. It just comes so naturally to me and I genuinely enjoy doing it. You hear a lot of people say my job doesn’t feel like work and that’s what e-commerce exactly is to me. I love navigating through the dashboards of Facebook – Google and TikTokAds, analysing numbers on a daily basis and optimising for maximum performance. I can’t explain it well in words but it’s really fun. I never ‘push’ people to work with me, if you ask any of my previous students they will almost all tell you they chose for me because I wasn’t trying to sell them my course. What I do in the discovery call is trying to understand their situation and if I or my education platform is a good fit for that, most of the time it is but I would never convince someone to opt-in. If they don’t want it or don’t feel it’s right that’s their choice. People choose me when they want results it’s as simple as that, just look at my track record and the succes in my education platform. That should say more than enough.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

“Nobody will pray for you when they see you winning.” This quote is one of my favourites and so accurate. I truly believe it’s not that hard to become ‘successful’ anymore since the wonders of the internet. If you have your mind straight, enough discipline and you know what you’re doing you should become your own version of successful. What’s hard and what nobody talks about is maintaining that level of ‘high’. I have many friends in e-commerce, trading etc. and they all achieved massive succes at some point. There are only few of them that were able to maintain that and are still in e-commerce or trading like I am. What I’m trying to tell the readers is that succes is not an endpoint, it’s just the beginning. “Succes” is trying to change it’s strategy every minute of the day literally 24/7, if you are not able to keep up you’ll loose that status and simply be forgotten. I’m not saying this to demotivate you, I’m saying this because it’s the truth. And for that reason it should motivate. Stay consistent and true to yourself. That’s my advice in one sentence.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Succes is every step you make towards your goal. No matter how big or small.

What’s next for you?

Back to my playing ground. Continue to convince people that the internet is here to stay and that earning an online income is not that hard as many of you think. You just need the right tools maybe even community around you to start a successful online business in less than 30 days. Many are still blown away if I show cases of people I worked with and what they achieved in the first 30 days. What I truly desire is sparking someones brain to do more than extraordinary things.
