Exclusive Interview with Bárcena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bárcena.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thank you for the opportunity! What can I say, I am just an ordinary person who has recognized their calling to help other’s discover their purpose so they can reach their full potential through inspiring messages. It all started when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I suddenly had this passion to share His promises. I wanted everyone to know about all the blessings God has stored up for them. I took every opportunity to speak in front of the public and share encouraging messages. People talked about their experiences on how they were touched by my message and that’s when I started getting invitations to speak at churches, retreats, schools and later at conferences. I never thought I would be speaking in front of many people and be seen as a public figure.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

You know, my speaking career was just taking off when COVID struck us. From one day to another all scheduled events were cancelled. At first I thought it would last a few weeks so I was not too worried about it. I then realized it was going to be this way for a very long time. So that’s when I went virtual. I started creating content on social media. Though the reach ideally was greater, it was definitely not easy. I had no experience filming or editing videos and much less dealing with the algorithm. I’m sure it’s been a challenge for all speakers and pretty much everyone so there is no excuse to stop. I will continue to encourage people through my messages no matter what.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

My messages are biblical based and I make them relevant to our everyday lives. My goal is to touch one heart at a time so individuals can rise into their purpose, reach their full potential, and live a wholesome faith-filled life. I am all about helping others so anyone looking to team up for a good cause is welcome. My job as a speaker is to lift people up. It’s very satisfying when a person tells you they really needed to hear that message because they were at their lowest. I am fully bilingual so I have a spanish Speaking audience as well. I’d be more than happy to be anyone’s guest speaker for their next event.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ I would say to surrender to God and seek Him daily. Put Him first place, do your part, and let Him do the rest. Be consistent and determined with whatever you do. Learn from others who are better in that area that you want to improve. Build healthy relationships. Guard your heart, take care of your health, and make smart investments. Be wise with decision-making and don’t act upon emotion. Launch that project, write that book, record that song, film that movie. It’s okay if you fail. There is always something you’ll learn from every experience.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me is doing God’s will. If He is pleased with my actions, I have succeeded. Helping others is one way to please Him so that is why I have accepted and committed to this calling. When God puts something in your heart and you obey, that to me, is being successful. When you do a good deed. When you do your part. When you seek Him. When you serve. When you love. Anything that pleases God means success to me.

What’s next for you?

I plan to come back to stage in the near future. I can’t wait to see the people being lifted. Their expressions when they learn there is hope for their situations is something I look forward to seeing. Touching more people’s lives and seeing a change of mindset and perspective to be better is something I miss. Until then, I will keep creating content on my social media. I think I will do both now once we go back to normal, be a digital creator and a speaker.
