Exclusive Interview With Jason Hendrickson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Hendrickson.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

My name is Jason Hendrickson born and raised in Brooklyn NY, I started playing drums when I was five years old and knew that music would be something I wanted to do as a career. I played drums for Hezekiah Walker , won a Grammy and toured all over the country with him for several years I also played drums for RNB Sensation Faith Evans and rap legends the Lost Boyz and Canibus. I knew that wasn’t it for me I had some songs in me That I had to release to the world. I then began to write songs and record songs as well as produce them, there my journey began as a recording artist. I have recorded five albums and six singles to date and I have no plan of stopping anytime soon. I believe the gift of music has been given to me by God to heal people encourage and empower them. I have been blessed to travel all over the world performing music and I have seen places that I only saw on TV because of music it really is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Growing up in East New York Brooklyn I was supposed to be a statistic in prison or dead by now but I honestly believe music saved my life. I truly look forward to traveling more and touching more people with this amazing gift of music that I have been blessed with.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

The challenges that I’ve had have you been very rough being that I come from Meager beginnings but I have always had big dreams. One of the hardest things to deal with is the lack of support and not having sometimes the people closest to you believe in your dreams the way you do. That is why my spirituality is so important to me because God has been a consistent source of strength in my life and my faith in him has allowed me to keep pushing even when I wanted to quit and I’ve been at my lowest. And for most creators like myself dreaming bigger than your bank account is always one of the hurdles that we must jump through and jump over but I believe that necessity is the mother of creation and I’ve never allow money or the lack there of to stop me from getting the job done concerning my creativity. I have and will always find a way to get it done. I believe that my assignment in life is bigger than me so I do not concentrate on what I don’t have I look at what I do have and I maximize that to the fullest potential possible and God has greased me to see some amazing results over the years and I’m truly thankful.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I am a producer, recording artist, published author, and life coach while doing all of this I find the time to also be a senior pastor of the greatest church on the planet earth Restoration Tabernacle. I am also a full-time dad and grandfather and Husband. I have three beautiful daughters and three beautiful grand children! I specialize in excellence anything that I do I believe that excellence is the minimum standard so the reason why someone would work with me over my competition is that I will always guarantee you to give you my best if I cannot help your project or whatever it is that you’re working on become better I will not touch it I refuse to diminish anything and have my name attached to it. That is why anyone that works with me anyone that knows me will tell you and testify that I’m going to give you everything that I’ve got and I’m going to get the job done period point blank. I would also consider myself someone that operates with the mindset of making sure that anyone that comes into contact with me feels the love in my music in my preaching in my teaching in my counseling because I believe was from the heart touches the heart. God gave me his best and I believe he expects me to give you guys my best. This is how I live my life daily!!!

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

The best advice that I could give readers who desire to find success in their life is to surround yourself with people that celebrate you not just tolerate you, get away from all the people that you have the dumb yourself down when you’re in the presence because they can’t handle how great you are. Every successful person has a why factor, Tap in to why you do what you do why are you pursuing what you’re pursuing why are you dreaming about what you’re dreaming about and once you figure out that why the house automatically comes. Make sure you’re doing something That you enjoy and it makes you smile. I’m a firm believer that if you enjoy it somebody else will as well. I encourage you to stay in your lane that way they’ll be no accidents, do not compare yourself to anyone else because comparison kills you are great and you are on your way to doing greatest things stay focused!

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Oh success means doing what you were created to do doing a thing that you are most passionate about, because where there is no passion there will be no pursuit. I get up every day with such a high level of passion for music in the business is that I run I am also keeping in mind that my success is bigger than me it’s for the generation coming behind me it makes me grind even harder and work sometimes until I’m falling asleep at the office knowing that I have to get up and do it again the next day but I do it with a smile on my face because my purpose always outweighs my pain. Having that Mentality is what success is to me. I’m not consumed with destiny as much as I am with legacy, positioning myself to make life easier for the ones who are coming behind me is what makes me successful.

What’s next for you?

My new album will be out in January 2022, the name of my new album is reset I have some amazing songs that I know you all are going to enjoy. I’ve been blessed to work with an amazing team of songwriters and producers and musicians such as Francion Corbett, Shedrick Mitchell, Alexandra Sayles, Marcos Robinson, Michelle Osbourne, David Wood, Kitorria Gibbs, Ashley Gill, Tehillah Smith, Ace Livingston, Roy Cotton, The list goes on the amazing talent that’s on this project. I also have a new book coming out entitled “Destiny Is A Decision”…And I am also working on some film and television projects as well.
