Exclusive Interview With Michele Junius
Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Junius.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I always knew working for someone else wouldn’t allow me to have freedom, so I decided to step out on faith and go after my dream of ownership. I not only want freedom but I want to build generational wealth. God, family, hard work, plus an amazing coach named Candace Holyfield. She pushes me to reach higher and to not let anything stop me from reaching my goals. I’ve always been a hard worker with a determined attitude but I press to surround myself with successful people that I can learn from. If I’m the smartest person in the room that’s a problem, because you always need to grow as a person and entrepreneur. So I invest in myself and businesses to achieve my goals and improve our services for our clients.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Well I’m the owner of 2 companies, A&M Farms Company and Spa L’eau Nola. The farming world comes with a lot of hills to overcome especially being a black farmer but my networking with other black farmers and groups like Black Farmers Cooperative have helped me tremendously. I landed a contract with a fellow farm owner of Out the Mud Farms to feed the elderly seniors through a grant program with Catholic Charities. But my new business, Spa L’eau Nola, had its challenges when we were dealing with permit delays and the pandemic. We are the New Premier Spa on the Westbank of New Orleans and excited to offer our amazing services.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
Spa L’eau Nola offers all things beauty and wellness. We offer facials, massages, detox sauna services, Vsteams, waxing, hair and nail services.
A&M Farms Company we do speciality grows for companies and we are venturing into hemp and CBD.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Take the word NO and FEAR out of your vocabulary, and say I can accomplish anything I put my mind and efforts towards. Speak life into your business! Step out on faith and watch God do the rest.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Leaving a legacy of generational wealth for my family and having unmovable faith in God.
What’s next for you?
Ohhh so much, real estate on the commercial level is my next venture and possibly manufacturing and distribution because I’m trying of the shipping fees and monthly delays coming from China.
