Fairburn GA’s Veteran Turned Licensed Esthetician Fantasia McFadden Is Taking Over The Lash World

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fantasia McFadden.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

My name is Fantasia McFadden, also known on social media as The Lash Doctor. I own and operate Fantasy Lash, LLC out of Fairburn, GA, where we specialize in Luxurious Lash Extension and Lash Trainings. I’m a Licensed Esthetician, mother and 10-year Army veteran. I was born and raised in Sumter, SC. Honestly, I started lashing because it was hard for me to find qualified Lash Artists in my area. At that moment, I realized that it was a need for someone like me in my community. I was determined to create a lash experience that I desired. I love being creative and solving problems. I get excited about the transformation process of helping women feel beautiful and confident, when they aren’t feeling their best. With my lash trainings, my focus is the PEOPLE! My goal with every training is to ensure that I am educating, empowering, and motivating all my students. Hard work, dedication, consistency and being a genuine person, has led me to where I am today.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I’m a strong believer that anything that is worth having is worth working hard for. The first obstacle I had to learn how to overcome is being knowledgeable about how to run a business. I’m the first entrepreneur in my family. Therefore, I didn’t have anyone to seek advice from or to give guidance. My second obstacle was learning how to fund my business without depleting all my personal savings. My third obstacle was learning how to pay taxes, accounting, marketing, and systems that aided in smoothly running a business. My final obstacle was learning how to have balance between starting a successful business, maintaining my career and being a single mother. With every obstacle I’ve come face to face with, and the challenges that will come later, I will be sure to face them head on while remaining positive and always pushing forward.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

My gift of power is my ability to transform the eyes, which is the most important feature on the face. What makes me stand out as a Lash Artist and Educator is my knowledge. As a Licensed Lash Artist, I understand the structure of the face and my sets are flattering to each client’s unique facial structure. While my Lash Trainings are affordable, I focus on Safety and Sanitation, Proper Isolation and Placement and Marketing and Branding. These are the main focal points of becoming the best Lash Artist in your community. With all aspects of my services and training, I go above and beyond to deliver and pour my all into my clients and students. I am building a tribe over here ?.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My advice for the readers is DO NOT give up. No matter how many times you fall, GET BACK UP! I have the following 10 tips to help you become successful. 1. Be committed. Through commitment, you gain motivation to pursue success 2. Learn from the journey 3. Have fun along the way 4. Think positive 5. Change your perspective 6. Be honest with yourself 7. Take away distractions 8. Count on yourself 9. Keep planning 10. Avoid getting burned out

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

The definition of success to me means doing something that makes you happy, and something that you enjoy. It also means often not taking the path of least resistance, but opening yourself to new challenges that enable you to grow and develop mentally, spiritually, and professionally

What’s next for you?

My plan for 2023 is to open Atlanta’s first Lash Training Academy and Spa. Teaching is my passion. With the spa, I want a place where women can come to relax and wind down. My Training Academy and Spa will provide jobs to the people in my community and for the students I will be able to provide job placement.
