Fashion Expert Terrance Dye The Man in a Woman’s World

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrance E. Dye.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

It’s such a pleasure to catch up with you from our last interview.

My name is Terrance Dye, fashion expert, author, and model. My most recent accomplishment this year is being the first male store manager to open up EVEREVE, located at The Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown, TN. EVEREVE is a contemporary fashion styling company for women.

Before this amazing opportunity developed, I have to share with you how this journey began. Three years ago I was living in Nashville, TN, working as a fashion stylist for Dillard’s. I had already made a name for myself throughout the city, opening stores for such retailers as Nordstrom, DXL, and Brooks Brothers. I even interviewed multiple times on WSM 650 AM Grand Ole Opry Radio talking about my fashion skills, modeling, and book tours. I was also included in several Nashville magazines and newspapers as well.

It was in Franklin, TN, where I first discovered the retail company EVEREVE. After visiting the store one time I felt I had a connection with the staff, and from that day forward our paths were in alignment. I was offered a position at the store, but the timing was not right. Shortly after that offer, the world was shut down due to a global pandemic.

The next two years of my journey, I spent living out my dreams as an author and model on a welcome home book and modeling tour in my home state of Mississippi.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

It was not easy coming back to my hometown and sharing all of my accomplishments over the years. A lot of people in the beginning of my fashion journey 20 years ago didn’t believe it was possible to make it, especially considering I was from a small town. There was not a lot of encouragement to go after your dreams, but my welcome home book and fashion tour was a chance to show people that with hard work and God on your side, anything is possible.

I received the Key to the City in Booneville, MS and was honored and inducted into the Hall of Fame Heritage Museum in my hometown of New Albany, MS. I was also featured on two international modeling covers – Gmaro and Roidex magazines, based in Paris.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

While on my Welcome Home Book and Fashion Tour, EVEREVE always kept in contact. They even offered other positions at other stores, but the timing was still just not right. I knew then that I would one day make history and work for this amazing women’s retail company.

My expertise in wardrobing and customer service is what sets me apart. The ability to build confidence and make an individual feel better about him or herself is just a natural gift.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My best piece of advice for anyone following their dreams is to always listen to your heart and never stop believing. Work constantly on your craft to become better. Read and study as much as possible about people who have paved the way for whatever industry you are in. Find out what worked for them and what didn’t. Never listen to people who don’t want you to succeed, and that could include family and friends. Find your passion in life. What God has for you will always be for you

What’s next for you?

After three years of staying in contact with EVEREVE, this year the stars aligned. This past November, I became the first male store manager to open up an EVEREVE at The Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown, TN.

It’s truly an amazing story of persistence, following your heart, and remembering that what God has for you is for you.
