Jill St. Williams Opens First Minority Woman Owned Drug Testing Site In Gainesville, Fl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jill St. Williams.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I feel as if I was born into entrepreneurship. For as far as I can remember, My mom owned Flo’s Beauty Salon and my dad currently owns James Janitorial Service. I also vaguely recall my mother owning a wig boutique with her bff I think. I was raised going to beauty school with my mom and in the hair salon and around makeup and on several occasions I met the Ebony Fashion Fair Models which created the beast I am today, Any chance I get to dress up and rip the runway I am on it. What I learned from my parents is what made me start my journey. It was only natural.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Until recently one of my biggest challenges has been getting new clients and customers so I’ve had to increase my visibility in other areas and going live on other platforms and going live with other people on their podcasts and platforms. I once struggled with staying consistent with marketing but now that I’m utilizing more ads I’m getting new clients. The 2 work hand in hand.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m the owner of Jay-Jill Cosmetics, Jay-Jill Cosmetics Glamtique & Spa and Pure Screening Solutions, LLC in Gainesville, Fl. On the beauty side of the business, I help Spa Professionals & Beauti-preneurs start their own product lines including but not limited to Estheticians, Beauty Students, Cosmetologists, Barbers, Makeup Artists, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Educators, Makeup Enthusiasts to help them generate extra revenue in their business. Not only am I the first to launch a Black Owned Beauty Brand and Makeup Kiosk in the Oaks Mall, I’m also the first Minority Own Drug Collection Site in Gainesville, Fl..

I’m smart, My drive and motivation is unmatched, I’m not afraid to step out of the box that’s why!

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My advice would be to not start more than one class or project and don’t finish, if you start it, finish it. You will become overwhelmed with too many unfinished tasks. Get out of your local city, Find new people & places. Pray over your business every morning, Ask to be placed in the right rooms and around the right people.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is not returning to the corporate world after quitting lol. Success means going to my Villa in Cabo with my family when I want to and my business is still operating. Success is sleeping in late. Success is hiring a TEAM!

What’s next for you?

It’s been one year since opening my DOT/Non-DOT Drug Testing Collection Site in my Spa. I’m the the first and only African-American woman owned lab in Gainesville, Fl. I offer Random, Pre-Employment Drug Testing, Hair Follicle Testing, Oral Fluid, Finger Nail Testing, Background Checks, Back Office & Compliance Services for Owner Operators and Small to Mid Size Fleet Owners.
