Today we’d like to introduce you to DM Woods.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a Top Dating Coach and a #1 Best-Selling Author who has recently released DATING ADVICE 360°, The Ultimate Hack to Getting What You Want! Honestly, I didn’t expect to be here. But in the words of Steve Jobs, “Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.” When I look backward, I see how all of my experiences lead me to where I am today. Frankly, I am amazed. If you bet me a year ago that I would be a Dating Expert and Best-Selling Author, I would have laughed and taken that bet. Now, I am trusting the dots connecting me to my destiny. I have gifts that are changing the lives of singles every day.
It’s amazing when someone asks me a question. Sometimes I will smile and think, “Oh that’s why I went through that!” It is moving to have an effect and impact on the lives of singles today. It is humbling to know that I am being used to shift and change destinies. I can interact with an individual and change the course of their life positively and forever. I got here by bumping my head, not by listening and making plenty of mistakes. I understand when my clients are hardheaded. But God, The Universe, Destiny, or whatever you call it, had another plan for me. I am blessed. I thank God for the experiences that lead me to this point and the life I live today.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
For years, I have been dating intensely. I have made almost all the mistakes. At the end of 2020, I decided to get intentional about dating. I deleted 1,000 numbers of women that I had collected. Looking back over a decade, I’ve interacted with over 10,000 women directly and indirectly. In 2017, I canceled my engagement and was left with over $25,000 in debt. Challenges are meant to be overcome. I started a singles group as the founding member and grew it to over 2,700 singles in Houston, TX. From that group came three marriages, four engagements, and at least one baby that I know of. When I was hurt, I embraced the pain and helped others. At one point, I was going on dates about six to ten times a week.
In less than a year, I spent over $10,000 on dating. It shook me to know that I spent that much. Afterward, I got a bonus and placed it into my account, but the money just disappeared. Then, I went through a spiritual journey to get clear on my gift and what I wanted. When I started to clarify my gift, DATING ADVICE 360 was formed. After researching, I relied on my personal experiences and encounters with friends, family, and clients from all around the world. As an advisor of over 10 years, I became a trailblazer. Now, I’m able to coach and lead singles in addressing their personal, dating, and business lives from 360-degrees.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am a dating coach, author, speaker, life coach, and business advisor who has the gift of inspiring, advising and motivating people to greater heights. I’m blessed to have my gifts disrupting the current dating environment. It has caused such a change in the lives of the singles that I have worked with all over the world. I focus on breaking limiting beliefs, circles of frustration, and the confusion of today’s singles and daters.
For me, it’s more than just about transforming lives. I understand that my work with clients, followers, readers, viewers, and my community produces a change, not only in them but in everyone connected to them. My new style of coaching breaks away from the traditional teaching of a male’s perspective on love and relationships.
My advice encompasses the full 360-degree view from multiple perspectives to meet the needs of the ever-changing dating environment. Because of my unique viewpoints, I have rapidly become an expert recognized by other experts in the field of dating, coaching, and relationships. What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Summer is over and Winter is Coming. These 7 Layers Will Save You During Cuffing Season. I call them, How to “Get the Cake” (7 Layer – Doberge Style).
1. Write out your grocery list. Get clear about what you need, want, and desire. Do you need it or are you just thirsty?
2. Check to see if the store is open. There is nothing worse than dealing with an unavailable person or a mismatched love interest. That locked door feeling is for the birds.
3. Check your account balance. What you want has to want you. It’s a horrible feeling when you get rejected consistently. Getting that little piece of paper that says your transaction was declined isn’t the life you want.
4. Are you at the right store? You can’t get milk at Hobby Lobby. Just because someone is available doesn’t mean that they are the right person.
5. Make sure you have the right recipe. The mix of attraction, intimate chemistry, emotional chemistry, and compatibility is crucial. However, forgetting an ingredient like baking powder can make a very unappealing texture.
6. Set the Temperature and Timer. Set your expectations and intentions. The wrong temperature will burn your cake. If the temperature is too low, the cake won’t rise.
7. Let it Cool and Check Your Cake. It’s commonly known that you have to let your cake cool. After the honeymoon period, you want to make sure the cake is still desirable.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Let’s talk about success in dating. So many singles have it gotten it all wrong. Today’s success culture in dating currently represents having options and individuals to pick from or getting in a relationship. Because of this, we get enthralled in neo-rotational dating and so many other dating styles. I believe the fundamental block of success in dating boils down to not making detrimental mistakes and wasting others’ time. We have to think outside of ourselves and create WIN/WIN engagements.
So many singles think that success in dating is all getting into a relationship. But there is a huge fundamental flaw, they are two different things. I love to fish. There’s a saying, “They don’t call it catching for a reason.” Fishing versus catching are just two different things. Dating versus relationships are respectively two different things as well. You have dating, relationships, and marriage. Yes, they are cut from the same cloth. But still, they are independent of each other.
I believe having a successful dating experience is about enjoying your time as a single. Above all, it is a process. Unfortunately, if you rush your process, you will just be back to repeat it. You have to learn more about yourself and your desires of what you want, vetting, and not making detrimental mistakes. There are spiritual laws that state why give you a full dollar if you would take eighty-two cents. I get it, life happens. I am here to help you learn.
