Meet Rebecca Grace Vijay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Grace Vijay.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Hi! I’m Rebecca, the Founder and CEO of Fount of Grace Creatives. I’m a 4x bestselling author and contribute to Thrive Global, the Good Men Project, Momspresso and Raising World Children.

I’ve been in communications and publishing since the early 2000s and worked with Oxford University Press for almost eight years. I started blogging and self-publishing in 2017. Through my first book My Angel in Heaven, I shared my journey through grief and despair at the death of my 3-day-old firstborn twin son Jacob and how I found comfort and hope in GOD. My sharing my story, helped other bereaved parents find some comfort and hope and my book also became a #1 bestseller on Amazon US, UK, India and Australia.

Now my mission is to help impact-driven changemakers and visionaries share their message by writing and publishing their books, so that they can make a bigger impact and create a ripple effect. In 2021, as a publisher, I helped 10 changemakers from around the world become Amazon #1 international bestselling authors through my multi-author book collaboration, Fired Up! It’s a collection of inspiring breakthrough stories of women changemakers from around the world sharing their been-throughs to breakthroughs as well as actionable roadmaps to help accelerate the growth of the readers in different aspects of life.

Sharing my story helped others and now I help others share their stories and that is why I do what I do.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

After the death of my son, I had continued to hold on to my job as an anchor amidst all the pain and uncertainties of life. My career trajectory was on a high and I was heading my own commissioning team at Oxford University Press when I decided to take a break and spend time with my preschooler and infant son. I did not know what the future held but I knew who held the future and took the leap of faith.

After a couple of years, I started looking for ways to make a difference and took my decade+ experience in traditional publishing to my self publishing ventures. It was not easy but in the same year, 2017, two of my books became international #1 best sellers and another became a #1 best seller in India.

As a new publisher just starting out, based out of India, it was a challenge showcasing my vision for the book, Fired Up! to the international prospects. But slowly I found some amazing women changemakers who resonated with the idea and the vision behind the book and became a part of it whole-heartedly. During this journey, I lost my cheerleader, my mom due to covid in April 2021. I went into hibernation for a few months, but then slowly came out of it to bring out the book that went on to become an international #1 bestseller on Amazon.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I am an impact-driven, heart-centred publisher and have experience with traditional book publishers, and magazine and newsletters publishing and have also learnt and have experience in self publishing. I bring this unique blend to my boutique publishing house as we offer a full-service publishing experience to our clients.

I mainly work with women entrepreneurs and thought leaders from around the world to help give them a platform and to amplify their voice. We provide our clients writing coaching as well as done-for-you services such as book production, publishing, promotion and marketing. Our templates and checklists collapse time for our clients and help them write with ease and at a faster pace.

I have worked with and networked with many high quality professionals and vendors during the last 20+ years. And we use the best talent that we have available on our projects so that we bring out premium, professional books catering to the target audience.

We have a proven method and system for our books. We understand our clients’ requirements and goals and help them reach their goals and build their authority and credibility, while increasing their visibility and exposure and attracting qualified leads.

We also create a buzz before the launch of the book with author interviews, promotional campaigns, which many of our authors have appreciated and commented on. We have organized the Fired Up! Summit for our authors and some leading experts to speak at, www.firedupsummit.com

Our motto is to change the world, one woman at a time.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

I always like to advise everyone I connect with to start writing, to share their unique story. It does not have to be a 100,000 words novel or book. It could be a short blog post or Facebook post or Instagram story or a self help or motivational book or a video or a podcast.. Just share.

You have a unique experience and skill set that no one else has. Your perspective cannot be shared by anyone else. So share your story, share your message. Someone somewhere is waiting to hear your message. You may be the only light at the end of their tunnel. Let them know that you were also sailing on the same boat and have now found your destination, that no matter how hard today is, this too shall pass.

You have been entrusted this power and responsibility and you can definitely find higher levels of growth, success and achievement by showing others how they too can succeed. Light a spark in their lives, expand their vision, let them know what is possible and that would help you find success in your life.

Let the message of your story shine! Someone somewhere needs to hear it

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

To me, success means that I have helped someone achieve something in a fun and easy way. It means that I am meeting my goals, I am making an impact and facilitating others to make an impact as well.

Success does not come easily if you try too hard, it’s said. But I think when we want everyone to grow with us and succeed with us, we grow together and uplift each other. We balance out each other’s strengths and weaknesses and help the other to succeed when we have a common goal and objective. Life is certainly not easy and is filled with challenges at every turn but what we make out of it is what makes us bitter or better.

Success is a relationship and keeps on giving when we want and invest in our goal for the common good, for more people. We make an impact and succeed in what we do, so that others can also learn and grow. As Earl Nightingale says, “All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination.”

Let’s press on to our destination with the plan to succeed while also helping others along on this journey!
