Prosperity for Posterity

Today we’d like to introduce you to OMOWUNMI OLAJIDE.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thank you for having me. My name is Omowunmi Olajide. I live in Florida USA with my husband of 15 years Dr. Ayoola Olajide and our two lovely children Oluwabusayo Tehillah and Olanrewaju David. I migrated to the United States in 2005 with my BSc. in Computer Science from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State, Nigeria, West Africa. In Nigeria, as a graduate of any higher institution of learning, you are required to serve, give back to the country in a way, in the National Youth Service Corps. It was this service that I just completed before I moved to the US. Getting to the US, the advice I heard from most people was to go into nursing, they say that is where the money is. Ordinarily, it would have been a perfect career move given I was engaged to be married to a medical doctor, but I could not see myself as one because I believe anyone in the medical profession must take it as a calling. Long story short, I had the opportunity to secure a job as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst and that’s where my career kicked off. Fast forward to January 2021, I resigned from my position as Application Security Program Manager after 16 years. I am now a full-time entrepreneur a real estate investor, a mindset/life coach, and an international speaker. Founded Prosperity for Posterity Academy, LLC for all things forex trading and investments strategies, and I host two podcasts.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

The main challenge I have had to overcome is starting in the first place. So many times, our dreams get truncated or stunted at the planning stage waiting for the right time; for the ideal opportunity; for when the resources will all be made available; for when the desired number of clients have signed up; and so on and so forth But what I have learned is that the resources and every other thing needed to be successful are made available following your obedience to take the step to start. Whatever that dream is, start once you know your “why” you can begin taking steps towards fulfilling that dream. Additionally, allow your dream to keep expanding dream bigger as you go. You can have many versions of the dream as you make progress.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I am a life and mindset coach and an international public speaker. Prosperity for Posterity is a mandate given to my husband and me as we were about to get married. This God-given mandate was based on 2 passages in the scriptures Isaiah 58 vs 12 & Proverbs 13:22. Initially, we interpreted this as a command for our personal family, i.e., our children our posterity. However, as years passed, it became clearer to us that “they that be of us” in that verse of the scripture meant much more than our own children or immediate family. If you know God and how He works, you know that His ways & thoughts are often much higher than ours, so it wasn’t a surprise that this would be grander, but rather a sense of honor that God would entrust us with such a massive and amazing assignment: “build me a generation of good people who will rebuild old waste places and raise the foundations of many generations.” To accomplish this, we have a number of channels: Our academy Prosperity for Posterity Academy, LLC is also a platform for wealth building. Also, the Prosperity for Posterity Podcasts. These podcasts now have reached across four continents of the world. The Prosperity for Posterity Podcast covers topics on wealthy building and the Devotional covers Values that we must imbibe and pass on to our children and teach them to pass on to their children. I also run workshops for organizations at retreats.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My advice to readers who desire to find success in their life is to ensure they are not having defective success. Defective success as described by one of my mentors Fela Durotoye of Gemstone Network is succeeding at the wrong vocation for you. This leaves you empty though you may be accomplished in that particular endeavor, you still find that you are not fulfilled. To change that or to ensure you do not have defective success, you must discover what your purpose is and then pursue it.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success, and if I may add true success to me is finding fulfillment in all I do. I say true success because, as I said earlier, we have people who are successful at an endeavor, but they still feel unfulfilled in life this is what I was referring to with the term defective success. This is why Prosperity for Posterity is so dear to my heart as I realized the true meaning of prosperity. It is easy to equate wealth to prosperity, however, prosperity goes beyond wealth. Prosperity is legacy. There is an adage that says the child you neglect to build, will turn around to sell (for pennies) the house you have built. Hence, prosperity is building a legacy of wealth by building the next generation that will carry on the wealth. Focusing on just wealth building at the expense of the next generation is futile.

What’s next for you?

I am working on publishing my book Prosperity for Posterity-The Devotional. My husband and I are on a mission to raise 10,000 good people in our academy by the year 2030, by the grace of God.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.
