SHOW YOUR CARE SPOTLIGHT: DOUBLEG OFFICIAL CONTINUES TO WORK TOWARDS POSITIVE CHANGES

Today we’d like to introduce you to Double G.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

My name is Gloire Sabwira but since my twin brother and I work as a team, we use our team name as DoubleG (Gloire, Grace).

We came to the United States as refugees in 2011 from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We have had passion in filming since we were very young and watching these successful and talented actors on TV motivated us even more to wanting to be on tv
My brother does well with camera and directing while I’m on the stage acting.
Our mission and goal is to keep empowering our African community youths and bring positive changes and mindset to through films.

We write our own stories and we have been blessed to having a great team that want to work with us at any time.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Challenges that I can state is that: we are not getting a lot of support from our own community and we have come to realize that; they are watching every step we do and everything going on but Until they see results; then to them, we are just doing nothing.

But that doesn’t stop us because we already know they are watching our work and yes we will prove and give them what they want to see.

The other challenge is time management; we have so much to do besides our filming.

We have family that we need to take care of both here and back home in Africa, meaning we might want to shoot a video or a film but on the other hand we need to be well financed so we can support the work and family.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

Well, our main mission has been to create our own film industry where we will be free to select our team and work together. As for now we do not have any conditions if someone want to join us because we want to recruit as many people as possible to create something bigger.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Keep chasing your dream no matter what you may stumble on. Because for some of us we never had that privilege of eating on the table where food is served. Most of us have to go out there and look for that food, prepare it, and then serve, then finally eat… so we shouldn’t give up until we get what we want.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me means; seeing your achievements and your set goal coming to live.

What’s next for you?

Make changes in my community and create the best actors there has ever been, especially in our African community

Goal is to “create our own Hollywood”

I am mostly on social media a lot posting my work and working to recruit more people for our soon to one film industry
